A quiet year with a trip to Maui before Trump was inaugurated, some hiking and a triathlon championship!
Christmas 2024
Vancouver Island is starting to feel like home! We visited Newfoundland, enjoyed hobbies, ran most weekends and suffered car trouble.
Christmas 2023
Ian bought a new motorbike, Jane planted roses and got busy with the Weavers and Spinners Guild. We both went to Seattle, Iceland and Scotland, ran most weekends and enjoyed being retired.
Christmas 2022
Jane retires her corporate website and establishes this new one. We get used to living on Vancouver Island and keep busy with various activities, minor travels and volunteer work.
Christmas 2021
In 2021, we established ourselves in Parksville, enjoyed beaches, hiking on Thursdays, running on Saturdays and Tuesdays, waiting for the pandemic to be over. Still waiting. Jane retired, went to GMC and tried to maintain a garden. Ian tried to get out on his motorcycles. We mountain biked and enjoyed life in Oceanside.
Christmas 2020
In 2020, we went to Costa Rica before the world shutdown for COVID. We bought mountain bikes, sold our house in September, moved to the coast, bought a house in Parksville and became homeless — living on Lindbergh for 3 ½ months — waiting to take possession in February 2021.
